Following my tenure at the Kashimpur Horticulture Development Center and Tissue Culture Laboratory, I transitioned to national research coordination and program leadership at BADC Headquarters—serving as Assistant Manager in the BADC Research Cell (FEB 2023 – JUL 2024) and concurrently as Assistant Program Director (Seed) at APCU-BADC under the PARTNER Program (Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Bangladesh, JUL 2023 – Present).
Strategic Responsibilities (2023–Present)
- BADC Research Cell (FEB 2023 – JUL 2024): Coordinated multi-location adaptive trials, horticultural and seed research documentation, and technical evaluation of modern irrigation and protected cultivation interventions.
- Assistant Program Director (Seed), APCU-BADC, PARTNER (JUL 2023 – Present): Supporting national seed system modernization, breeder and foundation seed supply-chain resilience, GAP-aligned production protocols, and institutional capacity building under the flagship PARTNER initiative.
- Academic & R&D Continuity: Concurrently pursuing doctoral research conceptualization in Smart Greenhouse IoT Fertigation and Microalgae Biotechnology while steering hardware/software R&D through SensPanel and FarmHub.
About the World Bank & GoB PARTNER Program Architecture (July 2023 – June 2028)
The “Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNER)” is a landmark national transformation program designed to promote crop diversification, food safety (GAP), youth/women entrepreneurship, and climate resilience across Bangladesh’s agri-food value chains:
- Total Program Financing: Estimated at 691,093.12 Lakh BDT—comprising 575,979.92 Lakh BDT (83.34%) from International Development Association (IDA / World Bank & IFAD) and 115,113.19 Lakh BDT (16.66%) from the Government of Bangladesh (GoB).
- Seven Implementing Agencies (Ministry of Agriculture): DAE (Lead Agency), DAM, BARC, BADC, BARI, BRRI, and BMDA.
- Eight Strategic Partner Agencies: BINA, BIRTAN, BJRI, BWMRI, SRDI, BSRI, CDB, and Hortex Foundation.
